doesnt copy dvds

This is a discussion on doesnt copy dvds in the UDVDR DVD Authoring / Utils / Backup forums;
ok i just tried backing up a movie with CopyToDVD there is no protection on it cos i already backed ...

Default doesnt copy dvds
ok i just tried backing up a movie with CopyToDVD there is no protection on it cos i already backed the disc up basically im wasnting to do a backup of a backup this program doesnt allow me to copy dvds wtf? does it only allow files to be copied? if so why not name it filetodvd??

Burnaware is like that also. Changing it to "filedvd" might work?


Vista, possibly the safest OS yet...even virus' have incompatibility issues.

If it is the full blown version it should as there is an option there to copy. Well on mine there is.

To do a back up of a backup I usually make an iso out of it and then burn it to disc with CopyToDVD.

@ simple

For some reason so does C2D rely on 3rd party softwares for making backups of even non-protected movie discs through the 'Copy Video DVD' Option.

Have u tested to make a copy of the movie disc through the 'Copy Music/Data/Games' Option

I've tested to make a ISO image of a non protected movie dvd and then mounted it in DT and the movie played up just fine in PowerDVD.

i find it bizzare to say the least why they dont introduce that into there software 1:1 copys on the fly too
