just bought the lg22hp to replace my dead dw1620 (sad to see it go). It was being sold at Newegg for $29. Glad to see your report as I think I did ok.

Hi
Yes, LG make very sturdy reliable drives.
While not having the charisma of some of the cherished drives.
They are probably the drive for anyone wanting consistency.
Although of late f/w updates are even less frequent.
LG going down the same path as Lite-On (though not quite as bad).
Releasing new models rather than f/w.

Since I only burn TY discs, f/w shouldn't prove an issue!

Which of these drives is best to backup xbox 360 games? I need to pick up a drive ASAP as I have had two games ruined due to a misaligned laser. That's fixed now but I want to backup the rest of my library before a relapse occurs; some 20 games.

Thanks

I use Lite-On's in my PC's and all of my retail builds. Solid, reliable and do their job.

Hi
Pioneer drives are by far the most popular for those backing up games.
DVD+R DL is bitset to DVD-ROM by default.
