Default pc games backup tutorials

Hi to all,
I'm trying to find tutorials on how to backup my pc games. The reason is that my kids are pretty hard on the games i have and theres.I won't mind as much if they were using a backup. That will keep the originals in good condition (and from off the floor and scatched up ).Some of these games are pretty expensive as you all probablly know. So can anyone help me out.I'm trying not to lose what hair i have left.

thank you,
bmacgurk

ok i have some pc games here however i have never backed one up , one thing i know you need is patch files that allow the playback of backups KT knows where to get these from as he has shown me before , the only thing i could suggest is dumping the image on your hard drive using either gamejackel or BlindWrite... if you want me to try and do a full backup tutorial i will
