Thanks Barough, it just seemed strage to me that everyone has a Windows7 beta installed and noone has the SP RC1 installed for Vista 32bit or 64bit. I read in the Vista Forums that the SP2 will have many of the upgrades of Windows 7 without the eye candy. I have no idea if this is true but I guess I will have to wait for the release to find out as Vista Ultimate 64bit SP1 is my main computer, my other computer has a dual boot Window XP Pro SP3 and Windows 7 32bit RC 1 on a separate Hard drive, and you need SP 1 for Vista to install SP2.

The install went smooth alan and was completed in 3 stages (3) bootups during install!
warning window at beginning of install states could take an hour or more took my system about 55 min total then another 10 min to install IE8 and configure it the way I like it!! so far so good will put it through its paces running various programs and report back over the next few days on what I find! right off the bat Ascetically theres no difference but I do see a big jump in speed opening windows and programs.
