I tried Kaspersky 2009 for a while . I got fedup with the false warnings. I went back to Mcafee


if all else fails ..

Kick the dog !! .. this does not help the PC ... but it will make you feel better .. lol .. j/k

I just got a friend to send me IE 7 again. I reinstalled it and tried again. nothing.
Then i went into the settings , did what you originally said about pressing the RESET button ( that did not work last time ) but this time it did and allowed me to download ...

Good news gang ..... Last time i ever touch bloody system32 files i can tell you all.

Thanks to all that helped. Much appreciated efforts.

PS -Also good news , My Crysis warhead just arrived too .... time for some gaming .. 22" style.

Perhaps I just don't see it but I looked back through this thread and I don't see any reference to you messing with any System 32 files.


Vista, possibly the safest OS yet...even virus' have incompatibility issues.

Hi Oldjoe ,

You are correct as i meant to say " wow32 " that the original FLASH.OCX file was located in. I personally deleted that , when i should'nt have.

I have the same problem. You have disable " The Banner Ad " protection in Kapersky and close Explorer and then reopen. You see it willl work. I have been reporting this in the KIS Forum for the last 2 betas.

Flash 10 is out now. It has fixed alot of bugs LOL.

Thankyou Alan. I will check it out , although i solved my problem by re installing IE , then clearing all the problems and reseting all the IE options that was originally suggested by KT. It currently downloads fine now , but i will have a good look at Kaspersky options.
