Default Open SUSE

I've been playing around with Open SUSE 11 today. Pretty nice Linux OS but it is very slow to load. I'll stick with UBUNTU for diagnosis but it's nice interface and pretty easy to navigate.

Vista, possibly the safest OS yet...even virus' have incompatibility issues.

Hi
Open SUSE 11 is my favourite.
Though it does take a while loading.
Once up & running it is an excellent OS alternative.
Which version did you try oldjoe?
KDE (my choice) or GNOME.

It's version 11-KDE..I downloaded GNOME but I haven't burned it to disc yet.
Do you know what the differences (KDE-GNOME) are?

Hi
As you are probably aware (so just stating this for those viewing who don't) they are just different desktop themes.
So they are similar yet different.
A variation in some utilities/games etc.
I believe that popularity is fairly evenly divided.
Recently a lot of cooperation between the two.
Some KDE 4 stuff runs on GNOME etc.
