Your first primary is probably DMA 5, which would be your hard drive.

What software are you using to play your DVDs?
Is your PC capable of playing AC3 audio?
You may need to install AC3 Filter.
Free-Codecs.com :: Download AC3 Filter 1.51a : AC3 Filter is a DirectShow filter for AC3 decoding

Is this a movie you have copied or an original?

I would also be leaning towards a codec that needs to be installed. DMA will not cause an audio issue! So that is not the problem.

Does the sound work on the computer for other things?

No siggy needed!
Thanks KT!

Does the disc work properly on a standalone DVD player?

Did you try going into the audio settings or setup menu of the disc to see what was listed?

Thanks KT!
