which would be best for writing udf... that fully work...LOL
I find Nero very good just, uncheck everything or decide what file types etc that you want associated when installing . That way its not intrusive and you decide what you want to use and when
Oh yeah get rid of Nero scout as well

Good point; I use Nero daily and find that having deselected all file type associations and only allow the install to place "smartstart" in the quick launch tool bar that Nero behaves much nicer. As said in earlier posts in the thread; best to not install InCD unless you are using one of the latest LG Burners (H55) and plan on using the new "securDisc" technology, then you will need it to read any discs burned with securdisc mode unless you download and install the InCD reader.

but there is that many features i wouldnt know what each ones for or what to install
Install the entire suite minus InCD; when you deselect all file associations during the install you are just saying that Nero will not be the default program to handle any of the different types of files. All the components will still functions as you open the sub programs. Also you will have the choice to not install the autoplay handlers and this is a nice feature; that way should you decide to uninstall Nero or any part of the suite you wont have all those dead handlers showing up in the properties of your Drives.
