DVD TO AVI , WMV
well its that time of year im out for another piece of software and again i require a dvd to avi converter
as anyone heard or tried this MOVAVI VideoSuite - Convert Video, Rip DVD, Save videos and DVDs to iPod
or what do you use ?

I have been looking for a decent DVD to AVI converter for a while
I use CloneDVD Mobile at the mo ... but I am always open to options ...
This software looks interesting .. have you tried it yet ?

nope not as yet , but i think i will it seems to be able to do a lot...view the screenshots they look ok too as you know im a sucker for eye candy

nice one ... looks like I will have to look into this software a bit more ..
Hmm if the source is on a normal DVD ... what is the point of 720 / 1080 ?..
does it upscale ?

okay i have started converting a dvd to wmv , there are 15 seperate chapters on this disc so i am joining them all as one and using the 720p output to wmv its going to take 4hours to complete ..... i will keep you posted
the original format of the disc is LPCM 2ch.

well it is almost complete , you can even playback with media player while its still converting .... kinda cool no annoying error message stating the file is already in use, ypu can also toggle the preview window on and off via the movavi userface as you please and totally shrink the program to the system tray ..... the joiniing of the files is flawless and works a treat ......im going to play with a few more selections
