im really not to good at this i need a little help i have a panasonic dvd camcorder i can use the dvd ram discs or the dvd-r discs im having a problem downloading the memorex dvd-r discs from the cam corder to my desktop computor the program that comes with the cam corder will not reconize the dvd-r is there any other program i can use to down load the dvd-r to my computor can some one help ive been trying to do this for a long time please help thanks scott

windows should see the camcorder as soon as you plug it in just use what pops up to download the dvd to the hdd. now if you just want to copy the dvd in the camcorder to another dvd use the program simple suggested it should work just fine.

i just tryed it pluged in cam corder highlighted hard drive where camcorder id which is drivr letter j is not accessible i see the dvd drive under hard drive but it wont let me click it inncorect function

i thought you were trying to rip a dvd-r to your hard drive my mistake what model is your camcorder ?

the modle is the panasonic vdr-m50 it has the small round dvds

I can't quite understand what you're trying to do..."problem downloading the memorex dvd-r discs from camcorder" do you mean rip it to your HDD?
Scott, I believe you can pop a mini DVD-R disc in the DVD-Rom drive on any PC
Or, try transferring your DVD Recording to a DVD Recorder...simply press play on ur camcorder and, record on the DVD Recorder. (analog) hope it helps

i call panasonic and he said the the cam corder will only play dvd ram discs through the computor the dvd-r are finalized they will not play through that cam corder i have that is the way they we made 5 years ago what i need is some kind of player that will reconized the dvd-r on the computor and play it the cam corder i have will only let you play the dvd ram disc through the computor not the dvd-r ive tried
