Still Not Working

As we know xbc and schtrom are indeed a great help but as the two xbox gurus work on the next releases (updates) a couple of games have come to light that are nothing but problems but indeed a couple of guys on the xbox scene have come up with a short term solution to keep are thumbs twitching and our backups burning
THANKS TO sosotiit (a great guy from the scene)
so you buy a new game and decide to back it up with xbox backup creator and your magic kreon drive and all of a sudden you are scratching your head over this display.

I KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE !!! IT HAPPENED TO ME WITH CRACKDOWN!!!
tools you will need ss merger 1.7b , xbox backup creator and schtrom360 and also another original xbox360 title
CRACKDOWN SOLUTION:
first of all create a new folder on your desktop for example name it A
open xbox backup creator and insert the game title when the game is reconized by xbc go straight to the drive tool options and select the unlock drive tab twice it is very important you select this function twice.
once

twice

now click the read tab and return to the read options and check current partition (highlighted in green) followed by start selecting folder A as your destination.

once the start tab and been selected the dump process will begin and hopefully complete.

press the ok tab to continue

once you have selected the ok tab to complete the dump, select drive tools and now extract all three sectors SECURITY SECTORS, PFI AND DMI SECTORS again use folder A as your destination.

now remove the original game (mine was crackdown) and replace it with another original xbox360 title example : advanced warfighter.
and now open schtrom360xtract and select video iso from the task drop down box as shown below and again select folder A as the destination.

now open folder A .. it should look similiar to this NOTE: mine only appear like rar files due to winrar being installed.

I have tried to do this in xbox backup creator but the unlock section is greyed out. Do you have to have a certain make and model of a dvd rom to be able to back up games using this or SCHTROM360XTRACT? Any help is greatly appreciated!

hi the drive you should use is a samsung 162c 0r 163 that has been kreon flashed a handfull of other drives will now work however the mentioned two seem to be the best.
as for this guide the newer versions of xbox backup creator and schtrom shouldnt have this problem as the above was just a fix while people awaited a update on the applications

Great Tut Simple. I don't change the disk when getting the video, I just leave the one I'm backing up in the drive an proceed as if I swapped it. To date I've about 23 and every one has worked first time. Do you think this is just a fluke?
