Default Kippers - ImgBurn 2.0 Burning Video Folders Giude

Using ImgBurn 2.0 to burn your compressed video folders. No need to convert to ISO beforehand.

Tools used to backup Final Destination 1 for this review:

Magic Ripper 4.1
ImgBurn 2.0

You can use ImgBurn 2.0 to burn directly from Video Folders that contain the Video_TS and Audio_TS files. You can do this for full disc backups that you will burn to DL media and you can also burn to SL DVD5 as long as the folder has already been compressed.

I used the latest version of Magic Ripper which now will also compress your rip to fit a DVD5 during the rip. (Nice Feature).

Make sure you have selected the full copy and check the box for “compress to SL”

Once you have ripped and compressed the original DVD and have closed Magic Ripper, go ahead and open ImgBurn.

In the “Mode” selection check off “Build” and then ensure that you have your writer selected in the device selection window and once you have selected your folder click on “OK”

In the next window that opens you can check to ensure that this backup will fit on your media by pressing the calculator button and checking the percentage of the disc to be used.

Now, open the “device tap” on the right side of the GUI and from here you will select your write speed and number of copies to backup.

Now, open the “Options Tab” on the right side of the GUI; ensure that ISO9660+UDF file system is selected.

Now open the “Labels Tab” on the right side of the GUI; and in the label fields type in the label you wish for the backup. Example: FINALDESTINATION

You are now ready to begin the write process, click on the “write function” button

You will then see a window giving you all the information for this write; just hit OK and let it do its thing.

Once the write is finished you will get the completion window, you can now close out of the program and go test your backup on the computer or your standalone system.

The backup disc plays sweetly on my standalone system and all menus fucntional and no artifacts, just a darn good copy.

This procedure is very simple and I think after you give it a try you will all master it quickly.

This program from LightningUK just keeps getting better; I hope you have made a small donation so he can continue to bring this outstanding software to us.

Maybe Lightning UK will give you a free program? All kidding aside you are getting really good at these reviews, I am truely impressed. You have this down to a science now. I think once the word gets around people from other forums will come here just to bookmark them. Congrats on a great review.

If you mean the file output from Ripper; it outputs to the Video_TS and Audio_TS as shown in the second or third picture in the review. Thats what I needed to do the review of Imgburn's ability to burn from folders instead of burning from an ISO. Hope this answers the question.

Of course you can use any burning app that handles video folders, but the purpose of this review was on ImgBurn's capabilities to burn from folders instead of ISOs. This was to help folks see the expanded uses of this version of ImgBurn nothing more, nothing less.
