Default ANYDVD-HD tutorial

INTRODUCTION

So the next generations of DVD as arrived in two forms HD DVD and BLU-RAY both easily stand out when compared to the standard DVD as the quality in picture and sound is far more superior meaning, richer colors, crisper sounds and hell of a lot more detail is visible.
As the two giants battle it out as in the past with the format war on VHS and BETAMAX
Many of us sit back and watch who will reign superior.
But now Slysoft INC have taken a move on the market too and decided on cracking HD DVD movies first.
For people visiting forums and backing up DVD'S like us this comes as no surprise that AnyDVD once again rocks the DVD authoring world by adding two little letters to the software title giving us AnyDVD-HD how can two letters mean so much , well I will spell it out to you HIGH DEFINITION BACKUPS.

AnyDVD HD comes with same functionality as AnyDVD, but with additional features for full HD-DVD (High Definition DVD) support, including decryption of HD-DVD movie discs.

Allows you to watch movies over a digital display connection, without HDCP compliant graphics card and HDCP compliant display. No need to buy an expensive monitor. Sweet!

Playback your discs on your PC with PowerDVD Ultra, which otherwise do not run (titles released by Studio Canal, The Weinstein Company, Kinowelt, Optimum Releasing).

AnyDVD HD is the "must have" utility for the serious home theater enthusiast using a media center / home theater PC.

Another amazing feature of AnyDVD HD is "magic file replacement ™". Remaster any commercial movie disc using simple XML scripts. These scripts will "magically" replace the files on the physical disc. You can customize discs as you like without even making a copy to harddisk!

AnyDVD comes with a UDF 2.5 file ripper, no need to install 3rd party UDF 2.5 filesystem under Windows XP.

tools that can be used ..

The cheapest way at current of joining the HD DVD market is by purchasing the add on for the XBOX360 console, although you do need a pc or the console itself to view the DVD material (tv/pc must be HD compatible).... You can simply hook this ROM drive up to your pc system using a USB connection.
Owning all three is a great addition to your home cinema setup.(reader only)

The best ripper to be used is of course AnyDVD-HD.
Why?
Well due to the history of Slysoft products and of course THE AnyDVD STANDARD EDITION I would say things at current are self explanatory

Another important part about viewing HD DVD material on your pc is you need to have the correct software as well as hardware CYBERLINK’S latest products offer both HD and BLU-RAY viewing in one of the best possible ways on the pc system.

Cyberlink also as a HD advisor built in which can advise you of the hardware and drivers you need to install to allow playback of the hd material .Please note this is only a guide and not always accurate for example it states my graphics card is not up to scratch but it plays back the HD footage perfectly.( HOWEVER I DID HAVE TO UPDATE MY GRAPHICS CARD DRIVER)

USING ANYDVDHD

right click on the small AnyDVD fox's head in your toolbar and select rip video hd to hardisk

after you have selected this option the AnyDVD ripper window will now appear , you must make sure your xbox 360 hd dvd drive is displayed in the drop down box (higlighted in green)

you must also browse for you destination folder at this point simply browse for you desired location and continue by selecting the ok tab.
I find it better if i make a new folder before starting the whole process , RIGHT CLICK,in the box displayed select NEW, followed by FOLDER then simply name the folder the title of the hd dvd in use as shown below

when both your selections are correct proceed by selecting the copy dvd tab.

process in place

process complete (took 60mins for entire kong hd dvd 27.4 gig).

amd 4200 x2 , 1 gig of corsair pro ram.

Default anydvd-hd tutorial

Ok I 'found' the UDF 2.5 files-made CD and taking home
Cyberlink's power dvd ultra will NOT RUN on VISTA but I have a dual boot so it doesnt matter YET
I am using a DELL E520 with a 500G and 250G SATA drive(s)
LG HD/Blu ray disc reader/writer and another NEC SATA DVD drive
Since I havent tried my AnyDVD hd yet, does the file AnyDVD hd creates a SINGLE file and is it naturally associated with Powerdvd Ultra?

Excuse me if the questions seem infantile.

replys ok at EDITED BY SIMPLE

thankx

WHEN AnyDVD RIPS THE HD/BLURAY disc it will rip all data , however you can just save the evo 1 etc and delete the rest with hd dvd i dont have a bluray drive but i guess it would be the same . the files should playback with no issues

I've just did my first HD-DVD rip to test and when it's done nothing I try will play the rip.

Powerdvd ultra latest version when I navigate to the directory will not highlite the OK impling that there is no start file like in the DVD method of using a IFO file.

Help please.
