Default OK so far but now what?

If I want to get this on to a DVD disc can I merely copy the HD folder as created by AnyDVD? or does it need a special burn procedure?

Thanks

Nigel

are we talking bluray or hd dvd ? the problem you have is without a true hd burner and of course media then no you wont be able to copy it to disc . however you could convert it to another format like hd wmv or bluray wmv

Yes thanks for that.
I niavely thought that I might burn it to a DVD disk but of course if Blu-Ray needs a special drive then it must need a special disc!
But what can I use to make a bluray wmv ?

Thanks for the advice.

Nigel

Default Not playing from Hard Drive

After using AnyDVD to rip directly to my Hard Drive, I get the same greyed out box as mentioned in several posts (earlier) within this thread.

I understand the mounting of an ISO, but defeats the purpose (IMO) of having a HTPC with backed up media.

Has anyone resolved this issue?

I noticed this thread is almost a month old without a resolution.
I also have the "greyed out" issue.
The rip was my first so is there a solution ??

I am having the same issue as many others. I ripped a Bluray disk to my HDD using AnyDVD HD and when I open up Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra v7.3 and try and view the movie from my HDD folder, the "OK" button is grayed out.

What am I doing wrong?

Edit:
I updated to Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra v8 this afternoon. I still have the same issue. However, I can make a playlist and view the individual files. I can't view the movie in its entirety...only one track after the other and it is really a pain. I know there are a lot of individuals that have been at this point and figured out how to do this. I know I am close, but I have hit a wall. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to be able to watch a ripped movie off the HDD? I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hi
You need to mount the iso, using something like Slysoft's VirtualCloneDrive (free).
http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/Setu...eDrive5423.exe
Having installed the above, right click on iso. click on Open With & select Mount Files with Virtual CloneDrive.
(You'll know if this has worked as AnyDVD will scan, as if you've just inserted a disc.)
Then with PowerDVD 7.3 you can play like you would any disc.
