I have precisely the same problem. Ripped the BD to my HDD just fine no errors. Tried to open the files from Cyberlink but it doesn't let me pick any of the folders or files. The button is grayed out.

What is it that needs to be changed/renamed?

i was informed last night but using the latest version of cyberlink you do not have to change the folders as it was fixed in a earlier release of the application.

maybe there is a bug in the release which version do you have ?

I have 7.3 as well.

Are you referring to version 8 working? I don't want to upgrade to v8 because they dumped HD-DVD support, which is very important to me.

PowerDVD 7.3 supports both formats. There is no need for the Folders to be renamed.
On the early versions of Powerdvd 7.x required the renaming trick ... but not with version 7.3

Does your PowerDVD play originial HD-DVD before you backed up the original ?

I have the same problem:

I used anydvdhd to backup my hddvd movie on my hard drive. This worked.

I have Power DVD 8 Ultra with HDDVD support re-enabled.

I can play the hddvd from the xbox360 drive but no from the hard drive.

when I select a dvd folder power dvd will play it, but when i select an hddvd folder the ok button is grayed out.....

Please help...

Question Hate to be a member of the wet blanket brigade, but...

I'm having the same issue as is being experienced above:

I can play an HD movie direct from the HD player without probs.

I can rip an HD movie from the media to the hard drive.

When I try to play the movie from the hard drive, it won't work unless I mount it first using Daemon Tools.

That isn't very spouse or kid friendly and they are more likely to do this:

Any other ideas on how to rip HD movies, store them on the hard drive and watch them via PowerDVD?

I'm looking to store movies in a single directory and access them via Media Center.

My system: Vista Home Premium SP1, AnyDVD HD, PowerDVD HD v7.3, Daemon Tools Lite, ImgBurn. All products are current as of today

Any ideas or suggestions from experience are GREATLY appreciated...

Techiedude
